The Gravatar service may ask for an anonymized string created from your email address (a hash). Visit for the Gravatar privacy statement. After approval, the public sees your profile picture in the context of your comment.


Uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) is prohibited. Website visitors can download and extract location data from images.


To save your name, email address, and website in cookies, simply leave a comment on our site. These are for your convenience so you don’t have to re-enter your details every time you comment. This batch will last a year.

We use a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies. That’s why it’s called a session cookie.

How long do we keep data?

If you leave a comment, it is retained indefinitely. So we can automatically approve any follow-up comments instead of holding them in moderation.

Users who register on our website have their personal information stored in their user profiles. Any user can see, edit, or delete their personal data (except they cannot change their username). Administrators can view and edit this data.

What are your data rights?

You can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also ask us to delete your personal data. No data we must keep for administrative, legal, or security reasons.
