Hose has a population of around 500. It lies in the beautiful Vale of Belvoir and is eight miles north of Melton Mowbray. The village is served by the 13th century church (photo below) of St Michael and All Angels, and also a Baptist chapel built in 1818. The Grantham Canal flows close to the village. Hose also has a school and Post Office, besides two pubs!
