Tenant Participation
Who are TFEC? The Tenants' Forum Executive Committee (TFEC) is made up from tenant's and leaseholders across the Melton Borough and meets on a regular basis, to discuss housing issues which affect all tenants. Representatives are in place to feed back information to you, the Tenants and Leaseholders of Melton Borough Council. This is done through the help of the Resident Involvement Officer. How can you become involved? TFEC currently have several vacant positions on their Committee. If you are interested in becoming involved as a Tenant Representative or would like more information please contact Sam Spencer on 01664 502481. Please also see the information poster at the bottom of this page. If you are not interested in becoming a Tenant Representative, but would still like to play a part in how MBC deliver its housing service, then please contact Sam Spencer (the Resident Involvement Officer) to find out how you could become involved in focus groups. From time to time we will send out questionnaires, asking for your opinion on the service we deliver. We appreciate your responses as they help us assess your needs as tenants and leaseholders. TFEC are hoping to establish a Village Voice scheme throughout the Borough, where representatives in the surrounding villages communicate with TFEC to let them know the village issues and to ensure tenants are receiving up to date information. This might be through monthly meetings or phone calls. If anyone is interested in becoming a village voice, please contact Sam Spencer on 01664 502481. Who Are Your Tenant Representatives? There are currently 13 elected tenants representing you on TFEC. A list can be obtained from Sam Spencer at Melton Borough Council Tel: 01664 502481 or by e-mailing sspencer@melton.gov.uk Alternatively you can contact the TFEC Chairperson Mr John Skerritt Tel: 01664 569446 Come along to TFEC's meetings!
